The Kozan school of ikebana stresses using natural materials you find near your house. I have three big rose bushes in the backyard that make great sources of ikebana material. I cut a branch from this rose bush because I loved the shape of the spreading leaves. My tortie cat Cindy love to drink the water out of these ikebana basins.
